I studied the password format for both the Japanese and North American versions of Neutopia 2, and have come up with a conversion chart for the games. Also, with the help of bt, I have found the sound test (and a little something extra) in both versions of Neutopia 2. Enjoy!! *Neutopia 2 US-JP Code Conversion Chart* A = SU B = SA C = SO D = TA E = CHI F = TSU G = TE H = TO I = NA J = NI K = NU L = NE M = NO N = HA O = HI P = HU Q = HE R = HO S = MA T = MI U = MU V = ME W = MO X = YA Y = YU Z = YO 1 = E 2 = O 3 = KA 4 = KI 5 = KU 6 = KE 7 = KO 8 = SA 9 = SHI - = - a = RA b = RI c = RU d = RE e = RO f = WA g = N h = GA i = GI j = GU k = GE l = GO m = ZA n = ZI* o = ZU p = ZE q = ZO r = DA s = DI* t = DZU u = DE v = DO w = BA x = BI y = BU z = BE # = A $ = I & = U * In Japanese, both characters are called "JI", but I've changed them for illustrative purposes. The "ZI" is represented by a voiced "SHI"; the "DI" is represented by a voiced "CHI", which happens to fall on the "T" line. Get it? Using this chart, you should be able to convert any password from a Japanese Neutopia 2 to a North American one, and vice-versa. Your name in the game will be a mess, as the name format is different between the two versions of the games. Other than that, it should work. Some characters in the Japanese password screen don't correspond to anything in the North American version, but I don't think the Japanese game ever gives you these characters in a password anyway. Mail me for a GIF of this chart. *Neutopia 2 North American Passwords:* For a Sound Test, enter as your password: Music_From_Neutopia (the rest are just all underscores) For an Introduction to Enemies, enter as your password: Thats_Entertainment_Neutopia (the rest are all just underscores) *Neutopia 2 Japanese Passwords:* For a Sound Test, enter as your password: MI yu U JI tsu KU FU RO MU NI yu U TO PI A (rest are underscores) The "JI" is a voiced "SHI"; the characters in lowercase are the small written versions of the letters (lower left-hand corner of password screen). (The password reads "MyuujicuFromuNyuutopia" when pronounced.) For an Introduction to Enemies, enter as your password: ZA tsu TSU E N TA TE I ME N TO NI yu U TO PI A (rest are underscores) (The password reads "ZattsuEntateimentoNyuutopia" when pronounced.) Thanks to bt for the Sound Test code for the Japanese Neutopia 2. -- Chris Covell (ccovell@direct.ca) http://mypage.direct.ca/c/ccovell/ Powered by Amiga!
